By following the instructions below, you'll be able to perform additional (historical) analyses of TrueClicks data, beyond what's available in the app.

Create new Data Connector key

  • Log in to TrueClicks and go to the Reporting page.

  • Scroll down to the Data Connector part and enter a key of your choice (note: this will be the User name in Excel) and click the Create New Key button.

  • This will generate a Token, which will be your Password in Excel:

Connect Excel template to TrueClicks

  • Download and Open our Excel template.

  • Click on Enable Editing and Enable Content when you get security warnings.

  • Go to Data > Refresh All to load your latest TrueClicks data.

  • Wait a bit for the screen below to show up, then click on Basic, enter the Key you created in TrueClicks as User name and enter the Token TrueClicks generated as Password.

  • Once filled in, click Connect and all Excel sheets should be populated with your latest TrueClicks data. This can take a minute.

  • If you get a Privacy levels warning, please select Ignore Privacy Levels checks for this file and click Save. Unfortunately, you may need to do this couple of times.

  • Click on Data > Refresh All once more to populate the Excel template.

Using Excel template

Now you'll have all your (historical) data in four different sheets:

  1. Overview: an Excel version of the All accounts dashboard from TrueClicks, showing the TrueClicks score and the number of monitoring and auditing issues found per account.

  2. Monitoring: each row shows the monitoring issues found per account (columns), so you can quickly spot which monitoring issues occur most often and where. If you have many accounts, you'll need to scroll horizontally.

  3. Auditing: each row shows the auditing issues and opportunities found per account (columns), so you can quickly spot which auditing issues and opportunities occur most often and where. If you have many accounts, you'll need to scroll horizontally

  4. Historical Scores: this shows you the weekly TrueClicks score per account, up to a year back.

You're free to make changes and additions to this Excel template and you can always update it with the latest data in Excel by going to Data > Refresh All.
