Introduction

Invite any relevant colleagues, client contacts, or partners who could benefit from using TrueClicks. Adding users is always free and unlimited, so don’t worry about costs.

We strongly advise against sharing login credentials, as it can disrupt essential features like 'My Accounts,' email notifications, direct fixes, and tracking users' 'Last seen' status.

Get started

To invite, edit, or remove users (or to check their most recent login), go to the Team page, from the link in the left menu.

Please note that if you don't have team management permissions, the following message will show:

If you get this message, please reach out to one of the mentioned team members at the end (blurred above), as they can invite, edit or remove team members and can give you these permissions as well.

Invite new team members

At the top of the team page, you’ll find two ways to invite people to TrueClicks:

  • Private access

  • Global access

We suggest using private access for most users, including:

  • For external users (like clients, if you're an agency): You can give them access to their TrueClicks results without worrying about them seeing all your other clients

  • For agency contact persons (if you're an advertiser): Give access to your agency representatives

  • For colleagues: They’ll only see the accounts they already have access to in Google Ads

Private access is also the safest option, as people will automatically lose access to TrueClicks results if they no longer have the related Google Ads access (for example, if they leave your team or company).

Private access

Global access

Can see all accounts linked to TrueClicks?

No, can only see the accounts they already have access to in Google Ads

Yes

Can make changes to accounts directly from TrueClicks?

Yes, but only for accounts they have direct Google access to.

Yes, but only after adding their login on their profile page and only for accounts they have direct Google access to.

Can link/unlink accounts from TrueClicks?

No

Only when this permission is granted

Can add or remove other team members?

No

Only when this permission is granted

Can change billing details?

No

Only when this permission is granted

We recommend global access to users who meet any of these criteria:

  • People who don’t have direct Google Ads access but need to see TrueClicks results

  • People who need to link or unlink accounts from TrueClicks

  • People who need to add or remove other users in TrueClicks

  • People who need to change billing details

Check pending invitations

Look at the Pending Invitations section to see if invited team members have set up their TrueClicks account. Team members will stay in Pending Invitations until they click the link in the invitation email and create their password.

Check regularly to make sure all invited team members are no longer pending. If needed, you can resend the invitation by clicking Resend.

If team members haven’t received the invitation email, ask them to check their Spam or Junk folders:

  1. If the email was marked as spam, have them add support@trueclicks.com to their contacts (in Google Workspace) or safe senders list (in Outlook) to prevent this in the future

  2. If they still can’t find the invitation, contact support at support@trueclicks.com

Edit existing team members

To change an existing user’s permissions, click the blue Permissions link.

From there, adjust these permissions as needed:

  • Change access level from global to private and the other way around

  • Can link/unlink Google Ads accounts

  • Can add/remove team members

  • Can change billing details

Choose the permissions you want to give and click Save & Close.

Last seen

Each user’s profile shows the number of days since their last login to TrueClicks. Use this to see who has recently used TrueClicks, though it does not show how often or for how long they used it.

Remove users

Remove users by clicking the red Remove link next to their details. Remove users as soon as possible after they leave the company, especially if they had global access.
