A simple yes or no will do

As mentioned in the introduction of custom attributes, the last section lets you enable/disable certain checks:


You can click on the question mark❔ tooltip next to each question for more information, which you'll also find below.

Are you willing to try Search Partners in this account?

If the account is budget-restricted or had bad experiences with Search Partners, you could answer 'no'.
In all other cases, we recommend to answer 'yes'.

Does it make sense to target the English language in each campaign in this account?

If you have specific reasons why you don't want to target English in some (or all) of the campaigns in this account, answer 'no'.
In all other cases, we recommend to answer 'yes'.

Does it make sense to use Google Display Remarketing in this account?

Only answer 'no' if any of the following applies:

  • This business already uses another Google Ads account or another vendor for display retargeting, such as AdRoll, Criteo, Perfect Audience, Simpli.fi, Sociomantic, ReTargeter, etc.

  • This business operates in a sensitive interest category that doesn't allow for personalized advertising (prohibited categories).

  • This business does not want to show ads to previous site visitors for other reasons. 

Please answer 'yes' if none of the above applies, as you can get good results from Google Display Remarketing when it's well-managed.

Does this business have a YouTube channel?

Answer 'yes' if this business has a YouTube channel. If so, make sure you it's linked to Google Ads.
Answer 'no' if this isn't the case.

Does this business have an Android and/or iOS app?

Answer 'yes' if the business has an Android and/or iOS app. If so, make sure to track Android app conversions with Google Play and/or to track mobile (iOS) app conversions with Firebase.
Answer 'no' if this business does not have a mobile app.

Do you want Google to automatically apply its ad suggestions after 14 days?

Answer 'no' if you don't want ad suggestions to auto-apply. In this case, make sure to opt out of ad suggestions or to apply and dismiss them on time manually.

Answer 'yes' if you do want Google to automatically apply its ad suggestions to your ad groups 14 days after creating them.

Does this business value phone calls? 

Answer 'yes' if you want (potential) customers to call this business. Lead-gen websites and local businesses should usually value phone calls and answer 'yes'.
If so, make sure you've implemented Google forwarding numbers (if you're advertising in an eligible country) or third-party call tracking on the website.

Answer 'no' if you don't want visitors from PPC channels (such as Google Ads) to call this business. This is usually the case for e-commerce websites.

Does this business have physical locations or stores?

Answer 'yes' if this business has one or more store(s) or office(s) that customers can visit. If so, make sure these locations are properly managed in Google My Business.
Answer 'no' if most (or all) of the transactions happen online or by phone.

Do price extensions make sense for this business?

Answer 'yes' if you want to show up to 8 prices below text ads on the search network. Learn more about price extensions over here.
Answer 'no' if you don't want to show prices below text ads.

Does one or more of the available headers for structured snippets make sense for this business?

Answer 'yes' if the products or services of the account can be categorized by one or more of the available structured snippet headers.

Answer 'no' if this isn't the case.
